We are going great. Each visit is something I really look forward to and feel sadder and sadder to leave everyday, knowing I won't see him for hours and hours. Samuel is doing great, although the Doctor is a bit worried that he is still weak from his cold last week and wants me to keep him mellow for a few more days in order to strengthen him up for the trip to Almaty. He is a love muffin, regardless!
Our group of families (now 6 families) are really enjoying being together. It is the saving grace to being this far from home. One of the families goes to court today to adopt Sean, the little boy in the 3rd photo with Samuel. He is a cute as can be and is going into a very lovely, warm family. We are all excited for them today, but tonight they will fly home without the baby for 2 weeks, then return to finish the paper work and bring little Sean home in early July. Much longer process for them then us.
Time is blurring a bit here. Not too much to remind us of home other than a Pepsi, Fanta or Coke. We did discover Baskin Robbins a few days back and I've accidentially stopped in 4 times so far :-) Their pineapple sherbert is a little slice of tropical heaven. I've been finishing a book every few days and watching lots of the DVD's I brought. We heard someone speak English at breakfast the other day...that was a treat and we all found ourselves eavsdropping just to hear a Yank speak!
Gotta go catch the van!

That 1st picture is beyond adorable. Things sound good, but it will be great to get to Almaty and then home. We (Jordan & I) are looking at July 21st - 28th, give or take a day on either end. I have had trouble getting through to Delta so it isn't firm yet. Graduation is over - we are packing for Italy and Brooke is madly looking for a job. All is a bit surreal. We will miss you greatly in Italy, yet we are so looking forward to meeting Samuel soon in San Diego! We love reading your posts. Keep it coming. Love, Debbie
Sharon-What a thrill you have given us to follow the progression of you and Samuel's adoption and bonding. Each day I click on your website to enjoy your latest venture with your adorable little tike. I bet you long to wrap him up and take him home to San Diego. It won't be long now. He's photos are so precious. God bless, Ann and John
Sharon, The big news here at home is your journey! When you come home things around you will have remained the same, so enjoy this part of life's journey. We will all be here for the two of you upon your return. Love, Beth
We've been out of town for a neice's graduation. You guys look great. I giggle when I read your entries. If Kazakhstan is the same as Romania they don't open the windows because they fear TB will come in. They also are VERY serious about babies having hats on even in the summer when out doors. How do Samuel's ribs look? Ry had no outside time and he had rickets...not bad...easily correctible, but his ribs looked really big for a while. Much love, The Hart gang
Hi Sharon,
It is so good reading all posts and especially seeing the pictures! Both Rush and I noticed how Samuel's expressions are getting brighter and brighter in each photo. I think he's already bonding to you and obviously feels quite good about that! And you are just beaming...of course...It sounds like the routine is working out well, considering all. We cannot wait to meet this little guy. I can almost hear him laughing in some of the photos. Keep posting all your info and photos - we are really enjoying our "travels" with you!
Love,
Rush and Marie
Hi Sharon and Sam,
David and I just got back from a little trip to Yosemite and Cayucos. Along the way David was wondering out loud how long it would be before he could play pitch and catch with Sam. A while but it'll be here before we all know it. Cayucos has the coolest drug store. Our first morning there I headed down to make a sweep of the kids toy and book section and loaded up on some goodies to bring you when you get home. Thinking about you every day and looking forward to getting both of you in our arms. Thank you for keeping up your blog and allowing us a peek at your adventure.
Love, David & Dawn
